Marist Pilgrimage 2016
The Shrine welcomed members of the Marist family, Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, Associates and it was lovely to see several familiar faces and old friends. Mass was celebrated by Father Peter Corcoran SM and after lunch they then processed into the village and the day ended with Evening Prayer in the Church of the Annunciation which is run by the Marist Fathers.

There was a contrasting atmosphere from the previous day at the Caribbean Pilgrimage. After processing down to the Shrine Mass was celebrated in the afternoon. Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham Pilgrimage 2016
The Ordinariate Pilgrimage started their pilgrimage at the Anglican Shrine with Sprinkling at the Well and Prayers of Reparation. They processed down to the Shrine during the Carmelites’ Mass and after a Service of Reconciliation Mass was celebrated by Mgr Keith Newton in their own rite.

Special moment at the Basilica of Our Lady of Walsingham
Today is a remarkable day at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.
Father James Moore from the Archdiocese of Liverpool, who as an 18-year-old (now 86) took part in the 1948 Cross Carrying Pilgrimage of Penance and Prayer for Peace, visited the Basilica at Walsingham and presented to Mgr John Armitage, rector of the Shrine, a book about that up-lifting pilgrimage.Read more
